Learn to Use Wordpress.org, Part-2
If you have not read the part-1 of this series, then I suggest you read that post first before reading this one.
Here is the link for the part-1 of Wordrpress.org learning series.
In the first part, you got all the files which need to be loaded to your host. When it comes to the hosting solutions, I normally use Godaddy and Hostgator only. If you have access to Cpanel or not, you will have access to your host through a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) program. There are many programs available and you can use any one. For your easy reference, I am providing here few links:
- Smart FTP
- FileZilla - my choice and it is free too.
- CoreFTP - this is also free.
- GoFTP - High speed and free too.
- Cute FTP - this is a paid version.
You also need to buy a domain name and you can use the following resources for your website name:
- Mozzle - the most advanced software dedicated for finding website names. You need to pay for this software.
- Domain Software - If you are very particular about the domain names or looking for the expired domain names, you can use this resource for some high tech domain names grabbing software.
- DomainPunch - For those who are into domain names buying and registering for profit.
- Desktop API - This is a desktop program to find out the expired domains which you might find fit for your business.
- Nameboy - I use this resource to research the website name ideas. This is free too.
- Make Words - If you are looking for lots of domain name ideas, you can use this resource.
- Dot-o-mator - This is a good program for domain name research.

This software is so easy to use that initially you will feel too techie if you are new to blogging world but my suggestion is to stay and not abandon the ship.
The current version is 2.7 and don’t get scared but just go to button "Ready to get started - Download Wordpress 2.7" and click it. You will be taken to the following page where you can download this software.
