Online Tools for Productive Blogging

Recently I had to sacrifice on my blogging activities as I was trying to launch a CPA Marketing product and I really felt bad but I had to do it. So I decided to check out how I can improve my blogging productivity with the available online free tools!

The first stop for me was to check out for the Firefox plugins or Firefox extensions and I got some exciting ones which I am happy to share here for your  reference:

1. Apture Editor - Imagine if you could instantly give your readers access to the richness and multi-dimensionality of the Internet — any relevant digital media concerning any subject you’re interested in, including text, stills, audio, and video — without ever leaving the site you’re on? With Apture, you can deep-link to media: a specific section of a Wikipedia article, a certain moment of a video, a certain page in a document or presentation, or a certain time of a podcast. When readers move their mouse over an Apture-linked term, a box appears with a menu of related media you choose, providing readers with a cornucopia of in-depth related content. Clicking on any item in the menu opens a window where they can access that content without leaving the page.
2. Clipmarks - Instead of linking to entire web pages, Clipmarks lets you clip exactly what you want others to see. Firefox Clipmarks browser add-on lets you save and share what you’re reading on the web with greater precision than is possible with links.
3. Fire Analytics - Fire Analytics extension allows you to view Google Analytics reports from Firefox. (You need to have Google Analytics account to use the extension).
4. FireFlix - A sidebar extension to upload, manage and search photos on your blog or your website.
5. MeasureIT - Draw out a ruler to get the pixel width and height of any elements on a Web page.
6. Monkiri - Monkiri lets you grab any part of the web page and instantly publish it either on your Monikri blog or send it to your Blogger or Wordpress blog.
7. MyWords - Handy extension that can be used to save common words and phrases you use often for easy typing.
8. ScribeFire - ScribeFire’s interface takes up the lower half of your browser window, and it can be resized to your liking. You can activate the program by a right-click or by clicking on the status-bar icon, though a hot-key combination would have been a little more convenient. The page design is pretty straightforward and we were able to quickly jump in and start typing in the Word-style notepad.
9. SearchStatus - SearchStatus display the Google PageRank, Alexa rank. Compete ranking anywhere in your browser, along with fast keyword density analyser, keyword/nofollow highlighting, backward/related links, Alexa info and other SEO tools.
10. Shareaholic - The Shareaholic Firefox add-on is primed to satisfy your cravings and compulsion with a few clicks. Essentially a hub for shortcut links to favorite social-networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Delicious, Google Reader, FoxieWire, and Plurk, Shareaholic is a Firefox toolbar button that lets you mark or post Web sites and stories by selecting them from a drop-down menu. You can share the page you’re on, or even right-click a link on a page to select the Shareaholic sharing options from the context menu.
11. Slingalink - Painlessly send friends a link to your current web page.
12. Surf Canyon - Ever wonder if there is anything useful past page one of the search results? When your search returns thousands, sometimes millions, of results, there has to be something good out there. There is, and Surf Canyon will go and get it for you. It is a tiny browser extension that helps you find relevant information buried in the search results on Google, Yahoo, MSN Live search, or Craigslist. By observing real-time actions (no profiles or histories required), it figures out what you want and then goes and fetches it for you, significantly accelerating the search process. Version 3.0 includes enhanced SearchBar functionality including dropdown refinements.
13. WebMynd - This Firefox extension takes a stab at solving a common Web problem: finding again that which had been found before. WebMynd adds two very useful functions to your browsing: site-by-site recording of where you’ve been, and integrating your history and Delicious bookmarks into specific Google searches.
14. Word Count Plus - Word Count Plus sits unobtrusively in the status bar of the active window, where it shows you the number of currently selected words. You can choose to add that number to a counter, in which case you will also see a running total.
15. Zemanta - Zemanta expands the author’s regular blogging dashboard, populating it on the fly with content suggestions relevant to the current text. It presents images, links, articles, tags in a simple interface. It encourages re-use and linking to other content with as little effort as possible – a single click. Zemanta supports Wodpress, Blogger, TypePad, Movable Type, Ning, Drupal, LiveJournal, Tumblr and email platforms Google Mail and Yahoo!Mail.

After doing the research for the Firefox, I decided to check out for more online productivity tools and here is the brief on what I found and I liked:

1. Copyscape - You can use this service to check if your content is not being used for the service which you don’t want to use or you can use this to check for plagiarism.
2. FlauntR - This is a great photo editing tool for those bloggers who always want special images.
3. Flock - I found this very interesting as this is a social web browser!
4. Skitch - Skitch.com is a webservice that works hand in hand with our application Skitch to give you 1-click
   uploading of images for fast and fun image sharing.
5. Picnik - This is one of the best online photo editing tools available to every one free of cost!
