Honest Review of Blogging to the Bank 3.0 Course

Honest Review of Blogging to the Bank 3.0 Course

We all know that blogging has been around for a few years now. Most people use blogs to record their thoughts and lives, while the select few use them as a free way to make a fortune.

I know a guy named Rob Benwell, who is making killing using his blogs. If you want to know a little bit about this guy, then here is a brief:

  • Rob Benwell is only a mere 24 years old and has already made several million dollars. Early in 2006 he shared his secrets with the world in his highly successful Blogging To The Bank ebook and has made making money online a whole lot easier for everyone. Just over two years after the success of his first book and over 20,000 copies sold of it and the 2007 2.0 update he is now releasing his third version of Blogging to the Bank helping to wet our appetites and keep the fat bucks rolling in.
  • Back in 2005 he was struggling to make any profit online, had dropped out of college and was getting deep into debt. He was trying all the techniques the gurus tell you and wasn’t getting anywhere fast. All of that went in the bin and he started using his own techniques and started making more and more money using simple blogs. In early 2006 he shared this with the world and had a great ebook called blogging to the bank. Tons of people got rich from using these techniques. He then spoke at Online Marketing Legend Yanik Silver’s underground Seminar where he revealed even more of his underground strategies. Then July 2007 he released Blogging to the Bank 2.0 which showed users his new methods to creating online wealth using blogs. In total both versions have been read by over 50,000 people across the world.

So as the blogging world is changing, Rob decided to include the latest successful techniques in this blogging to the bank 3.0 course. It’s full of great new techniques that work online right now! Everything’s explained in plain English with all the fluff cut out. I got hold of an advanced copy of the book for a much higher price than what it actually sells for and it has been worth every single cent! I got it in the afternoon and by the evening I was creating new profitable blogs.

Why Wordpress is my Blog of Choice?

Why Wordpress is my Blog of Choice?

WordPress is blogging platform of my choice that can easily run ordinary website and any type of blogs. Why use Wordpress and not some other platform? Here are some reasons:

  1. WordPress is free - I am sure you love free offers and software. Some may argue that since it is free, it is not that powerful due to every one using it. On the other hand, since a large population is using this, there are more free plugins and themes available in the market.
  2. Although WordPress is free, its development is overseen by a commercial company, Automattic, and they bring commercial savvy, financial resources, and slickness to the project
  3. WordPress has a huge community of developers and enthusiasts behind it - this means that there is a mass of online documentation and any number of plugins and themes.
  4. WordPress has a very rapid development cycle, which keeps it at the cutting edge as far as features are concerned, and any bugs or security holes are rapidly squashed.
  5. WordPress has a focus on usability and user-testing which many open source projects lack.
  6. Constant update on wordpress software to make it more user friendly and powerful. The latest version is WP 2.7 and you can get the complete update on this version here.
  7. Extensive Wordpress support forum is available where you can ask any type of wordpress related questions.
  8. Due to such a massive popularity, majority of the web hosting companies are compatible with wordpress. Here is the word of caution for you -  before you install the newer version of wordpress, it is always better to ask your hosting company for compatibility with the latest wordpress version.
  9. Step-by-step installation process is always available to support new as well as experienced bloggers.
  10. You can always get the latest news on wordpress and keep up to date all the time if required.

What Blogging Platform should I use?

What Blogging Platform should I use?

First of all let me share with you some of the available blogging platforms with you so that you can explore these options.

Here is a short list of available blogging platforms:

Blogger - Claim your free blog here. Blogger is the place where you can create blogs with your google account.

Wordpress.org - is free open source blogging software that is available to anyone to run on their own hosting account. This is the fully featured and heavily customizable version. Wordpress has long been one of the top platforms among bloggers for years. Because it’s open-source, it’s a good choice for those that require the ability to customize everything. There are a plethora of easy to install templates, plugins and other goodies for Wordpress. If you are looking for a free, open-source, fully-featured platform with room for customization and a supportive community of users this may be the best choice for you.

Wordpress.com - is a hosted blog service very similar but not exactly the same software you can download from WordPress.org. It does not allow the ability to upload plugins or themes, and has some other handicaps, but it’s free, easy and because it’s hosted & free you can get started within minutes.

MovableType is SixApart’s free, perl-based, open source blogging platform. Like Wordpress.org, you download this software and host it on your server. The software is slightly more complicated to install than Wordpress, and comparably customizable with plenty of templates and plugins available from the MT community of developers. Business wishing to get a blog up and running should consider MovableType’s paid services which offer great support and features.

Well, let me give you some definitions of blogs first to satisfy your intellect hunger. So here are the definitions along with its’ sources:

Sussex Learning Network - A blog is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic.

Wikipedia - A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.

Wiktionary - A personal or corporate website in the form of an online journal, with new entries appearing in sequence as they are written, especially as dealing with reflections or opinion, and typically incorporating links to other articles.
